Take office as Mayor of Copenhagen

Copenhagen, Denmark · 602,000 people · Coastal City

The Copenhagen Mobility and Highway Administration and the Municipal Green Board engineer high capacity cycle superhighway networks, connect waterfront public pools to automated seawater biofiltration cells, and expand district heating loops fed by waste to energy plants.

The record Copenhagen keeps on the Board of Mayors is still unwritten. Take office and write its opening chapter.

The city

Landmark: Nyhavn & Little Mermaid.

• The Copenhagen Mobility and Highway Administration deploys a wide network of traffic responsive bicycle arterial lanes equipped with LED speed syncing grids for commuters.
• The Municipal Green Board partners with regional wind grid operators, issuing green transitional equity to fund central district cooling loops and shoreline wave-breakers.

How a term works

Take office and each day brings a live situation from the city's services: a decision to make and a result that is measured. A term is judged on approval, infrastructure, environment and innovation, within the city's budget, and every term adds to the record Copenhagen keeps on the Board of Mayors. Mayors message and confer with one another, form councils, trade with neighbouring cities and send aid where it is needed. Cities rise together.
