Take office as Mayor of Montego Bay

Montego Bay, Jamaica · 110,000 people · Tourism Hub

The Montego Bay Marine Park Trust and the Tourism Capital Development Council deploy artificial coral breaker blocks, coordinate zero carbon resort transport loops, and build marine coral protective barriers.

The record Montego Bay keeps on the Board of Mayors is still unwritten. Take office and write its opening chapter.

The city

Landmark: Doctor's Cave Beach & Rose Hall.

• The Montego Bay Marine Park Trust submerges advanced concrete reef domes to absorb wild Caribbean wave power and foster fish habitats.
• The Tourism Council structures tourist hotel levies to fund sand shunting machines and beach restoration projects.

How a term works

Take office and each day brings a live situation from the city's services: a decision to make and a result that is measured. A term is judged on approval, infrastructure, environment and innovation, within the city's budget, and every term adds to the record Montego Bay keeps on the Board of Mayors. Mayors message and confer with one another, form councils, trade with neighbouring cities and send aid where it is needed. Cities rise together.
